This page is dedicated to Ms Carolyn Hood Rice who recently graduated to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Carolyn was a avid teacher of God's inspired Word and was gifted by the Holy Spirit to glean precious gems from the word of God and impart those nuggets of life into the hearts of those who knew her. Everyone who met Carolyn Rice fell in love with her mainly because of her closeness & realness with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Carolyn's theme comes from Sam Walter Foss "The House by the Side of the Road" Let me live in my house by the side of the road It's here the race of men go by. They are good, they are bad, they are weak, they are strong, Wise,foolish-so am I; Then why should I sit in the scorner's seat, or hurl the cynic's ban? Let me live in my house by the side of the road And be a friend to man.
Where Do You Live?
A famous person recently said: "I may lead a certain kind of life, seemingly gay and carefree, but that is not where I live." We live where our heart is and to find where our heart is we should think about how we use our income-- for " Where a man's treasure is there will be his heart also." The Bible tells us over and over and over again to be careful about what we set our hearts and minds on. "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it come the issues of life." And again, "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he." Time after time we are shown the way.
If we want to know what we love, where we really live, we can tell by what we think about all day long. We have been told where we should and do live-- " We live and move and have our being in Him." It is only when we know this and realize this truth that life can take on real purpose and meaning.
Where we live physically does not matter, but where we abide spiritually does matter a great deal. In fact, the most important question we can ask ourselves today is: " Where do I Live?"
